We returned to Sand Castles for the second year in a row, and again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even had the same room, which is in much need of a new lounge, but otherwise well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The pool area is also still immaculately maintained. I believe Sand Castles changed management since our last stay, and it’s great to see the new management keeping it so well presented.

Apartment was 2nd floor great view, comfortable and had everything we needed, all comforts of home. In flight zone but not a real issue as 11pm – 6am no flights, peaceful, grocery shops close and various restaurants. Manager very nice and security was good. Thanks for relaxing week

seasandy3936 “Fantastic Position”

We arrived from Melbourne 2 hours early, but were given a warm welcome and taken straight to our room, which was fantastic as we were tired and had a 2 1/2 year old grandson who was getting cranky. Much appreciated. We had a penthouse apartment and it was spacious and clean. The views from both balconies were fabulous, particular the upstairs balcony which was large and had a table setting for 6 (an umbrella would have made it perfect as morning sun was very strong !!) Our daughter and son-in-law and grandson had the lower level, which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the kitchen/dining/lounge, plus laundry facilities, whilst we had the upstairs bedroom which had ensuite, plus TV and a lounge, making it a perfect retreat for an afternoon nap !!! Walking along the beach track was a daily pleasure …. to the right straight to Tugun SLSC, and there are plenty of shops, cafes etc., and to the left straight to Currumbin SLSC, and a strip of shops and cafes. The pool at Sandcastles is set up well with a spa, and lots of palm trees to give you the tropical feel !!! Be aware that all along this part of the coast, you are subjected to constant air traffic (which we didn’t mind at all, it was quite fun). You need to do a shop as soon as you can, to stock up with necessities … the rooms are all self-contained and you need extra toilet rolls, laundry detergent etc. Kitchen was very well equipped. All in all, highly recommended for couples and families.

Emma B “Sea Views without the Sea Breeze!”

7 night stay in unit 23 exactly what we needed.
Perfect location, direct beach access. set back a little so when it was windy, didn’t get the full impact. Could sit peacefully on the balcony watching the whales play out in the ocean.
Yes, some of the decor is a little dated. But everything was comfortable and in full and working order. Foxtel was a bonus. Full laundry facilities in the unit.
There is WiFi but very limited access.
Yes, it is near the airport, as all places are in this region, however flights cease between 10pm and 6am.
